PPC AD SWEEP · PRACTICAL GUIDES
A practical Amazon PPC cleanup checklist
Review search terms and targets, compare spend with break-even, and check your bulk upload results.
Review a fresh bulk report on a regular schedule, check eligible exclusions and pauses against your economics, apply the changes you agree with, and verify Amazon’s processing result.
1. Start with comparable data
Use the right account, marketplace, date window and break-even threshold. Keep a record of when you made changes. A weekly review habit does not mean seven days always provides enough evidence: sales volume and attribution delays affect what you can conclude.
2. Separate the decisions
Review shopper queries for negative exact additions and review keywords or product targets for potential pauses. Check campaign and ad group names before accepting an action. PPC Ad Sweep groups its recommendations with their evidence so you can make those decisions on screen.
3. Preserve useful traffic
Do not treat every high-ACoS row or no-order row as a guaranteed mistake. Consider relevance, margin, the reporting window and your launch goals. A cleanup report identifies candidates; it does not replace your judgement or manage bids.
4. Apply and verify
With Pro, review the eligible Amazon-ready bulk sheet, then upload it at Amazon Ads → Bulk operations. Wait for processing, inspect the result, and resolve any rejected rows. A successful download from PPC Ad Sweep does not mean Amazon has applied the changes. Amazon describes this workflow in its campaign improvement guide.
5. Review the next period
New shopper queries can appear and existing performance can change. Compare later spend and attributed sales, while accounting for prices, seasonality and other campaign changes. Do not report the estimated waste from the original file as verified savings.
The first complete on-screen report is free per verified account. Pro includes future reports, CSV exports, and eligible bulk sheets for $19/month or $190/year. You remain responsible for reviewing and uploading each file.
